About Sultan Hassan Mosque again, i have to admit the square cropping saved me this time, i have always liked this photo, but dont know why, i cant even explain, i guess its the way this tourist walks, he seems helpless, driven towards a calling voice, a greatness in that space, maybe, and maybe not.Maybe it is his SCALE withing the photo, or shall i say the space.
or maybe on the other hand how the carpets pattern and the lanterns guide my eye towards the center , while his movement and the plants and ropes behind him leads another way... his way.
its un explained for me, so i can use your help.

I just it for the enigma. There are so many wonderful elements in this image it's a trip for the eyes to roam around it. I am drawn to the downward lines of the hanging pots or lanterns filling an otherwise void. this gives it a wonderful dimension for me. The man walking gives it a human element of thought. The lines on the walls at his shoulder height coupled with the carpet travelling in the cross direction towards the viewer gives balance to the lines of the pots and gives the image depth. The intricacy in the stone across the top gives it texture and the shadow adds jsut a touch of mystery. All wonderful elements which add up to what I enjoy about this image. I love it. A very thought provoking image.

I've browsed briefly through your portfolio and your work is outstanding. I shall return to see more of your work.

Cheers - Ann :)

Great perspective and architectural detail, Yahya. I like the lamps and the scale. The tourist seems a bit lost, but that's understandable! Best regards, Ina

This is a very interesting shot with lots going on. I am however looking for a place to rest my eyes as they search each level of this image. Ah yes, the doorway, a chance to rest before I start again.

Thanks for viewing and comments on my image.

Regards - Bill

I love the fact that the tourist is moving in one direction but my eyes are being led the other way. Making me dizzy, and that's what makes it great!! The square crop was a great choice too.

An overall impressive piece of work Yahya.
Well done.

Excellent shot. There's a lot to look at in the shot, but you've managed to capture this in a way that the shot doesn't appear too "busy". I like the framing, and the inclusion of the person in the shot has really helped to give the shot a subtle, open feeling. Well done.

I really don't know either, but I like it as well. I don't mind the tourist's postition of moving out of the frame that Roland mentions...I kind of like that. Almost seems as though it is too much for him!? Lots of details going on...very nice!

Your colors are very good in this...so well saturated. And the different shapes and textures in this photo make it so appealing. Very nice!

The photograph is well composed Yahya but I would've have captured the subject walking in & not out of frame (Just My opinion). The overhanging lanterns looks great, hope to explore & photograph Egypt in the near future, regards.
