We do not have oak here, but I love the massive trees that I see in photos. Th etwisted branches on these large trees are so nice. To see a baby version of those is so nice. Kind of remids how small everything starts. Beautiful capture Kathy with nice colors and detail.

Wow. Lovely colors and the image is so crisp. I like the muted gold color of the grass -- a perfect foil for the bright red leaves of the tree.

Hi Tracey, Susie and I were saying just yesterday that you haven't been around as much as usual. I hope that everything is okay in your life. I see from your recent images that another grandchild is not far from appearing. That must be a real joy! All my best to you! Kathy

Hi Ina, Thanks for the nice words...I always look forward to your comments! The green in the grass was really fighting the red in the oaks, but I didn't use desat. I used levels to bring the reds out, and then painted the grass the color that you see. More than one way to skin a cat, right? :) Kathy

Well John, if you hadn't said that I wouldn't have had a clue that that was going on! My take on that is that it is a glitch in the system! At any rate, thanks for the look and the comment my friend! As always I really appreciate your imput! Kathy

WOW Kathy, beautiful colour in these young oakleaves and excellent details. They look wonderful sitting amongst the light golden grasses that they will one-day dwarf. Well spotted and taken...Best wishes..Ray

Wonderful colors, Kathy! They are so bright, and the contrast with the grass is great. Did you really desaturate the grass? It looks very natural to me, the way it should be. Beautiful clarity in the grass, and on the leaves. The little tree looks like a fall ornament you may see on a door. Well seen, and great diagonal composition! Best regards, Ina

Your "about" reminds of a movie called "A Tree Grows in Brooklyn". I wonder why. Nice effect with the desaturation on the background. Great colour in the baby tree. Hope it weathers the years to stand tall and proud for the next generations. Good catch and great job. Cheers - Ann :)

Good job on the desat Sissy. This looks like a lot of work. It really made the leaves stand out and acts kind of like a mat. Really pretty.

Another picture from home... Amazing the size of the leaves on these tiny young trees. The desaturated, sepia grasses make a nice neutral background, despite the complexity of their intersecting lines. Another reminder to me of how much we take for granted in our everyday environment. Thanks, Kathy! Tim
