About This is another photo from one of my Death Valley trips. I was hiking when I spotted this window like opening in the rocks. When I peeked through the hole I saw a variety of colours so I snapped a few shots. At least I didn't get wet taking this photo. :) Thank you to all who take the time to view this image and for any comments you may leave. Cheers all - Ann :)

The colors are intense, but very real! What I like about this place is it gets wet, but not for long. The land drinks it up quickly and it's dry again. Incredibly beautiful.

I like this shot with those distance levels and how the different rocks has different directions as well, and not to forget colours and tones :)
Clever composition!

Excellent angle and natural framing, Ann! Death Valley was one of my most memorable trips, I just love everything about that place, especially the sand dunes and the Ubehebe crater. Is this the Golden Canyon? Last spring when we were there, a lot of the roads were damaged, and closed. I wish I could stay longer. I can't tell you how much I love these Death Valley images. Keep them coming! Ina

Very nice capture Ann. You have retained nice detail in the shadows. I expect you were carrying your raincoat just in case??? Don.

Thanks Gayle, Yes we are getting lots of rain but it's intermittent so we can get out and about without getting drenched. I'm solar powered from the desert so it's hard getting used to all this wet. Does also get very foggy every day until after midday some days. Sleeping later and later every day. :) Cheers - Ann :)
