Hi Ann. Thanks!
Weird thing about the red issue. Couldn't help thinking to myself, "What a FLUKE!". Makes me want to go out and capture every red thing I see! :))
Glad you liked the boot series too. Was an absolute hoot to put together.
Cheers!

Amazing image Rina. I didn't know red was a hard colour to photograph until I read it here. There you go. Learn something new every day. You sure have done it well here though. I love the DOF and the curves and details are great. Super image. Cheers - Ann :)
I also had to scroll down through your portfolio to catch Janet's pun about the shoes. How funny.

Hahahaha, you're so cute Rina! What are you studying? I had to laugh at the 'changed the furniture for the 3rd time', I sooo know what that's like, hahaha..maybe you should've poured the stiff one first, hahaha..hang in there girl, and stay away from the furniture, keep the bottle close by, hahaha...Linda

Still not 100% sure about how the comments work, but since Admin hasn't posted a reply, I guess we can assume that's how it is.
Take care!

Thanks Linda! For me, shots like these are the best way to learn how to use the camera effectively. I'm always being told to stop relying on bloody auto!
Well now, it's 10.40pm here in Auckland and I've just finished re-arranging the living room furniture, for the third time... Was contemplating hitting the study next but then sat down to check my email instead. How sad is that!!!
Aaarrrgghhh. Think I'll just pour myself a stiff one and drag my pitiful butt to bed. Study can wait til tomorrow... Gotta keep myself busy :))
Anyhoo, you have a nice weekend! Cheers bud.

An excellent, simple floral macro, Rina. Stunning detail and texture on the petals, and worm-like stamen. An impressive DOF, creates an isolation of the strong red, from the subtly blurred background. Superb.
Thanks for answering my forum question, Rina. I find it frustrating when only 1 in 3 of my comments ,make it to the public comments page.

An excellent macro Rina with a wonderful minimal dof, and a perfect exposure on the red. Love the complementary colors, the crop and the composition...I've got to get out and see if I can remember how to get a good macro, it's been awhile, how are you? Hanging in there? Linda

Rinaroo... The exposure is magnifique! This flower really must learn to "zip up"... the horse is already "out of the barn". ..Brad

Thanks Peter! Had no idea that red was difficult to shoot. I'm still so totally ignorant :)) Well I've learned something new now anyway...
I see what you mean about it being tight at the bottom. Unfortunately though, that's all there is. This plant was too high for me to get a better composition. If only I was just an inch taller... :))

Wonderful Photograph Rina, Great Colors and Clarity. Very well presented. Red is a tough color to shoot... The only comment I have is it's abit tight on the crop on the bottom...
Thanks for sharing, GOD Bless... Peter Daniel
