Taken at the Tiger Temple near Kanchanaburi in Thailand. The tigers are supposedly domesticated by monks that have raised them since they were little cubs. This enables the visitors to go up to the tigers, pet them and take photos. However, although they deny it, the tigers did look as if they may have been sedated with some drugs. This possibility is very unfortunate and I did have qualms whether or not to participate in activities (such as taking this photo), that may result in the further drugging of these beautiful creatures. But once there it is hard to resist as they are truly stunning beasts!
