Jelly Bean
after – Jason Lee Parry

A woman drew on her finest fancy
black dress. She walked bare foot
through town under the honey sap sun. She climbed
the wall of a bridge. She decided to jump
noggin first, like an Olympic Diver. This way her brain
would be first to dance down dead, and she
would not have to feel her feet, her legs snapping
like hungry hurricane branches beneath her
on the dry river rock.

She was enjoying the rapid descent, the ticklish
rumbling in her bitty belly as she stirred the wind
around her, when something went awfully
wrong. Her feet grew heavy under the
wind and sun. And just as yellow leaves turn in the air
as they flail and fall

so do people, on their way down.
The woman awaited the hurt on her feet, and when
she opened her eyes, she could see nothing but
the black waves of fine and fancy fabric.

i like the ever approaching series but i think this one is the more dynamique of all three... superb details and timing... love the offcentered placement of your model that is somehow balanced by the giant X created between the fabric and the bridge... a compact composition leading to a beautiful result... congrats... emy

The blown part of the dress leads the eye to the model & indeed gives a sense of shooting against the wind. Like how you positioned her in the frame as well, well captured Jason, kind regards.
