Margaret - thank you! As you say, it's not a crop - although one could be mistaken for concluding so because of the noise I added by ramping unsharp in PS to get a slightly gritty look, which I like in this image.

Mark - whilst most Appalachian Trail hikers would regard Bascom Lodge as a 5 star hotel, most everyone else would not (haha) - although its open fireplace and nice bunking facilities are wondeerful. Here's a pic of the inside I took last weekend and I hope it refreshes your memory!

Been century's since I have been there is the hotel at the top still there, along with the homemade dinner. Beautiful shot of the light tower.
