Breathtaking lighting and colors ! What a scenery ! Extremely beautiful landscape, well composed. First I had the impression of a slight tilt to the right, but I think thats the shoreline. Excellent !

Hi Greg, ahhh no it is at the very southern tip of Jasper where it meets Banff nat. park. Then you head east on the David Thomson highway for about 30min. It is not in the Park but just a stunning area that isn't seen much by tourists.

Love the drama of the landscape and the flow through the picture Tim. Wonderful three dimensional feel.Beautiful light.
We have the same glacial rivers here in NZ. Most tourists cannot believe the colour of the water.
I heard about one tourist who asked the tour leader why the water flowing out of the spillway below a hydro dam was a different colour to the water flowing into the turbines.
"That's because they have taken the electricity out of the water." said the guide.
"Oh I see." said the tourist.
Cheers John

And yes this is the true color of the water. It is tinted by the glacial till ground out by the ice over the rock. Kind of rock flour that in the sun gives it this wonderful green blue.
