Perhaps that angry look was directed at you for taking his photo :) you have really captured his expression. Margaret Glad the difference in the eyes showed up, I did overdo slightly as I thought it wouldn's show, agree with you, between the two would be just right.

I know that the face could even look more different when playing a trumpet or a similiar instrument... the DOF is very well chosen...my full focus switch all the time between his face and his trombone...
