"We live in crazy times" - Johnny Carson. Sad too. Great picture & story. Feel bad for those children because of someone's anger.

Truly disburbing....... seems unthinkable for most people I guess, even if we are extremely influenced by the American movie industry. It really makes me happy to be Norwegian, where this is considered impossible....
This makes people think and evaluate what's important. Thanx, Todd. Good work

Quite a contrast to the UK, where only some policemen are allowed to carry guns.
I find it shocking that a school should have to explicitly state taht guns are not allowed on the premises. Talk about stating the bleeding obvious! Where has all the common sense gone?
A very fine photo making a great point and sparking a very interesting debate, Todd.

Nope, don't understand at all - admittedly that's looking from a great distance from the other side of the pond. Do believe though that the damage caused by aggression would decrease if at the end of anger there were mostly fists and sticks rather than firearms. Aggression itself is another matter and more difficult.
The toning is extremely good. And the 'disturbances' - specks lower middle and bolts at left edge - work very well. Strong piece, Todd. /H

Being in a journalism catagory, it think subjects should be fair and balanced. My feelings are that it should noted that people who apply for concealed carry, are generally much more honest and trustable than those who have been convicted of violent crimes.... and those convicted of violent crimes do not follow rules anyway.
That said, it sure seems strange to see a sign like that on a schoolhouse door.

We don't know how lucky we are in New Zealand. Still very rare for firearm incidents over here, though, they are on the increase. Still no more than a dozen or so a year. Pretty amazing social commentary this shot. Certainly made me think. Very disturbing really. Thanks Todd
