About The locomotive is a "temporary" replacement for their steam engine which is in the process of being rebuilt. It's run on a regular basis on weekends and special events on a 2hr.(including stops)run to Warren, Manitoba and return to Winnipeg.
The locomotive was built in 1975, but the coaches range from 1901 to 1911 vintage, and are in excellent shape.

Dave I like the angle you used here, it really adds impact to the 'mightiness' of the loco. Great colours/tones and the reflection of the clouds along the side is so good. Great composition

Dave,

Looks like they've done a great job in keeping this loco in pristine condition and the photo you've taken shows the pride both you and they take in displaying the finished result.

This is a real beauty. The grain elevator back there provides the perfect vertical contrast to the long train.

When I looked at this shot I thought, "Oh I like the perspective on this". But a lot of people beat me to mentioning the perspective, I guess they have wonderful taste too :-) Very nice perspective with the train flowing back from the engine, Dave. You have captured the color and condition of the engine very well. It looks like a new car! Well done! Regards and thanks for your recent comments on my pictures. Larry

Dave I'm way way behind with comments but there's one sure way to kick me into action - post a railway shot, it never fails.
This is great. It looks to be in pristine condition. Those locos always look so powerful and I understand they are indeed.
Thanks for sharing.
