My wife told me about this shot of yours. Indeed the way you made use of the light at that moment is well researched! The result can give rise to a spiritual interpretation. And the choice of tonality enhances what I just have written. Impressive!

Hi Dave, thanks for your comment on my recent photo. I love this image...there is a real sense of the mysterious and the majestic..the interplay of light and shadow certainly gives that feeling of drama and the lack of colour allows one to focus on the detail. Regards, Brian

You captured very well the ray of light falling on the saint's head and on the whole body of the angel at right. It is as if the saint's words are bathing the angel in a holy light. A marvellous effect!

It manages to depict not only the details of the statues and the interior of the church, Dave, but also and very strongly the rather silent and peaceful atmosphere. Extremely well balanced toning from the highlights to the lowlights, and it is really impressing to see such a dynamic range!
I do find the composition a bit too "fast", but I don't have any clue yet, how it could be more "integrated".
