Hi P.J... I understand how dof works with aperture, its one of my favorite things about photography!
What i mean is i didnt understand WHY you would have prefered the front to be in focus, rather than the back. (and again..shooting from the distance that i was...1/30th would have been quite blurry;)

Hm...not sure what you mean P.J... I had it at 1/60th of a second and it was way too much light, even at f22. I find with the lense i have the sharpest images come out at 1/125 or faster. Also, i focused on the place i did because there WAS a woman standing there sorting food that i would have liked to include in the picture...but she moved ;(
