About I just can't help myself. I find the outline of these peaks in the Inverpolly reserve on the west coast of Scotland utterly compelling. I have posted a similar one before. (not here though), I think this is miles better not least because I was lucky enough to get a good scan of this contrasty image taken at 4am whilst surrounded by the dreaded Scottish midge. This is a very accurate representation of the original velvia transparency a 0.45ND grad filter held the detail in a quite wonderful sky.

Pentax 6x7II, 55-100 zoom polariser slightly backed off from max and a hard edged 0.45ND grad across sky and water. 1/2 sec at F22, Velvia.

Wow - this is great! The lighting was worth waiting for and I really like the different 'textures' you've got in there. I especially like the silhouetted hills with the gray ones peeping out behind - and it's all so beautiful and sharp.
