Great shot of a wonderful plane, this beast is like a tank with wings. Your pictures are wonderful for anyone who builds models as the detail is spot on and it gives us a good idea of where the markings and ordenance are.

In early eighties I used to see these planes regularly. There were quite a few of them at USAF bases in East Anglia which isn't that far away from where I worked at that time. Never saw one this close though. Great shot Larry. Den

ha!...you must have seen the same thing i did then. I remember watching a video where a missile had calmost completely blown out the left wing in battle and it still managed to fly all the way back to base. Where is this by the way?

I've seen photos of this plane with holes in the wings large enough to stick a refridgerator in and they still fly
