Ahhhhh! . . . Curious how the little things do that! Anyway . . . thanks for the answer to the mystery . . . In a way, then, it IS DOF related . . . and --As I stated-- still consistent quality. :)

Excellent shot Larry and very beautiful. There is a slight distraction on the trailing edge of the upper left forewing where the BG blur seems to spill over onto the wing. Though you see it on the rightside forewing, wingtip and hindwing that's an obvious and very good effect from the DOF. The left side has a sharper focus above and below the blur so the eye doesn't register it as a DOF function so much even if it was DOF and not post-editing. If it's not from postwork I'd suggest you consider blurring the wingtip slightly so that the continuity of depth appears uniform.
A minor point, Larry . . . and one I hesitate to bring up . . . but you truly do have a great capture here . . . with the color, the pose, even the texture of the leaf and those legs resting on it. Consistently good work!
