hey larry! the zoom was spread out evenly throughout the 5 second exposure. i think it was a zoom out from long focal length to short. best of everything with our experiments.

Hi again erik, and this truly fun! geez... can you tell me exactly how you did this? been experimenting with zooms and shutter speed now. how fast were you zooming during the exposure? ...
thanks, man LarryM.P.

Erik, of the 3 you posted with long exposure, I think this one really stands out! The lines on this are incredible and teh city scape really adds to the whole feel and mood of the shot. Nice work!! I really like this one!

Hi Erik, in all fairness, I think this is one of the rare examples where this effect is actually benificial to the result. It takes the cityscape completely out of the ordinary, reaching warp speed.
I appreciate the extensive information on camera settings, even including the white balance. Now there's something else to remember, apart from the freaky but effeictive effect! Great shot. Me Dig. Big time.
Cheers,
Hugo

Thilo, Glad you dig it. Zooming during exposure works well on tripod. Can be messy if hand held. I could see you having some fun with this one. Cheers, Erik
