I was very pleased that I had my camera with me that evening. The sky was as dratic as it looks in the image. Thanks Ahmad.

Well, couldn't you cram a little more drama into this? Ha, ha.
The juxtaposition of soft cloud with hard steel and glass is interesting, along with the satisfying, saturated colors.

@Erik, ...we have some friends they live in Berlin. I was often there too...not to far from my house where I lived in Germany 33 years.

Thilo,
I see what you mean. I hadn't noticed that. I think a more severe angle could have alleviated that. The horizontal line sort of flattens the whole thing out a bit. Thanks.

Dear Erik,
you really made some spectacular shots in Berlin. This one features an interesting perspective and angle, the clouds and the sun shining through add a lot of tension. good format.
the only small concern I have is the horizontal split in the middle. this takes away some of the tension the upright format provides.
Very good one anyway!
Cheers, Thilo

Gee thanks Ken. The smokestack idea had not occurred to me. Architect Sir Norman Foster really gave us photographers a lot to chew on with this building renovation. It's supposed to embody the openess of the "new" and united Germany.

GO ERIK! SUPERB! You have made the Reichstag look like an industrial smokestack. Intentional or not, it's brilliant!
