Nice capture! Cropping a bit more might make it better.

Markus, what makes this photo work is its simplicity and the texture captured in the flower. I may have cropped the sharp leaf out to the left - keeps distracting me from the flower. Otherwise excellent. Bryan

Hi Markus, Size of the flower looks good. Several plants in the frame would be nice too. For size of image, 800 pixels or above. Please take the picture whenever you can. No reason to hurry. Thank you so much.

Lily, I had not much time today, so I took only this one. They are realy tiny flowers, creeping on the ground. In the morning you cannot see them and they open their petals only in bright sun. We have a lot from them between our roses and vines, covering bigger areas. I'm going to make more pictures tomorrow. Let me just know whether you can use them as the attached, or what special things I have to consider in my shots. How big in size you want the photos be sent to you?
Regards, Markus

Markus, Yes, I meant the whole plant. I've been looking for information on two wildflowers that are native to Europe. I think this is one of them. Thank you so much for the picture offer, I really appreciate that. My email address is: bluedepths@hotmail.com. Thanks again. :)

Thanks, Margaret. I think they did it at purpose. It's a psychological trick. People see it and think: this made it to the front page, I can do it better. Let's see what else has the guy to offer. And they click and click and ... lol
Cheers, Markus

Markus - Lovely to see you on the front page, and it is a nice shot of this small flower, as you say very sharp after the crop - but it seems a shame they chose this one to use as a featured donor, as you have so many more beautiful/stunning compositions Margaret

Thanks for your kind comment, Lily. I don't understand, what you mean with full length picture. Do you mean including leafes etc. This here is just abit cropped and there is not much more to see on the original. If you are interested, I can make one for you. They just started to bloom.
Cheers, Markus

Thank you Subhash for your honest comment. It's for sur not my best post. But the better is the enemy of the good, you know;-) The reason why I posted it was, that I liked how sharp the tiny flower (about 6mm diameter) still was after a huge crop. What you see on the left edge is a blade of grass.
Cheers, Markus
