Pardon my bad mood, but this scene may already be forever changed......... Kinda Pissed right now. A forest fire has been raging for almost a month and has consumed about 9,000 acres in the area......... most likely including this viewpoint. Roads starting 15 miles away, and the trail to this viewpoint are closed right now. This large fire area includes the Hippy on a Rock, Glory, and the Bolivar creek photos too........ this stinks. Hopefully mother nature has spared some of it. :( Sometimes lightning is beautiful, sometimes it messes stuff up for a long time.

A 3.3 megapixel cam is nothing to sneeze at. Some of my earliest images were taken with a 1.2 megapixel cam and they print very well as 8 x 10's. This is a stunning image, and I do hope that get a scanner soon as I would love to see more of your slide work, your compositions ROCK!!!

Thanks Michael. I love these high perches. It's sharpness appears better than I expected from a 3.3 digital. I wish now that I would have duplicated that shot with my F1. I took other shots at this location with a bunch of different compositions, using the F1 and a 20-35L zoom lens. Lens flare is a problem when shooting a shot like this, maybe that's why I passed on it. Heading to the camera shop tomorrow and I may take a few of these shots that I took on KR64 and have them put onto a CD. If so, I will share another one or two.

Beautiful composition! I like how you captured the low clouds, and the sharp detail in the foreground is very appealing. 7+ Thank you for commenting on my "Rocky Shores of Marineland" photo. Best Wishes, Mike
