About Some of you may recall that I posted a version of this image last September but that I wasn't happy with the scan. My old flatbed couldn't cope with the dynamic range of the image. Well, I thought it would be nice to try it again with my new Nikon LS9000 and the results are amazing. The conversion to JPEG has slightly blown the highlights but the TIFF is spot on. Anyway, I hope you like the image as it always should have been!

the scanner has handled those highlights brilliantly, even for a jpeg. Nice colour in the image itself.

Suuper shot, Barry, and I seem to recall taking a very similar one at Beer, in Devon. I'll post it below?
Kind regard, Chris

Beautiful capture. That one lone red seat really stands out and directs the eye towards the line of seats. Well done.

Nishan, yes it's an interesting point. When I composed the image I found that leaving the partial chair out actually upset the balance but I can see that you might choose to crop it. I've also printed versions with some of the rightmost deckchairs cropped out and that works too! It's an image you can crop in many ways!

Great airy feel to the image Barry. I was wondering if cropping out the partial chair on the left hand side would make it a little less distracting and concentrate the attention on the rest of those welcoming chairs?
