About I think the angle is all wrong, I should have been on her level, but this picture has meaning for me. Is the saturation too much? There was a yellow overcast which created a natural filter but I did enhance it a bit.

nice shot.. you are right that it would have been better to be at her level, but you still have taken a wonderful shot. : O )

Cute capture, I also prefer the alternate crop and the look of the b&w.

WEll I like the Nikon D 70 and I have the kit lens, a 50mm 1.8 lens which is a find cheap lens and the VR 70-200 lens and a Sigma Macro that i hav not gotten the hang of. All ofthis was expensive and I got it in San Diego last summer. I have heard a lot of good things bout Cannon. One place to learn about both is DP REVIEW

Thanks. Yes, Steven. I just saw Wolf Camera here in Memphis has a special for the Canon EOS Digital SLR w/ 18-55mm zoom for $799. At buydig.com, I noticed the Nikon D70 (body only) is about $899 with a rebate. My husband has a Nikon N6006 with 35-80mm lens. I'm wondering if this would be possible to use on the NikonD70? I'm looking at both the Canon and Nikon. Just read some reviews on ZDNet. I am completely open to advice on this. I know my camera isn't up to higher quality photos - fun for snapshots and really does good 4x6s of the kids, but not so great for serious stuff. Any advice on this is more than welcomed!

Hey i like the new crop and the b and w tones. I agree with you when you retake this again you will be closer and the effect will be stunning. I am curious do you plan to get an upgrade on a camera? any certain ones if you are planning?

I like Dan's crop very much and also Andrea's b/w. This is a very appealing shot.

Thanks Dan. Here it is with Steven's suggestion adding more background. I tried it out in black and white for the "documentary" feel, kind of capitalizing on the Depression Era look. I'm really to far away from her...I won't make that mistake when I go back this summer.

I Liked this image but I think I agree with Dan the crop would really set her apart. On the original the house thing is a mild distraction. I would not have minded the distance you had though in the background, I really like this one though and basically it is one of your better photos, for clarity and mood. It has a documentary feel to it like she is a lost child on a road. Very good

Andrea like the shot but this could be cropped better,

Dan
