Hi Ron, nice meeting you also.
I'm sure it was hard. It has been tough and emotional working on these images and writing about the meaning to them. Now I was not as close as you are to the experience but it still hit home to me. There are two images that are imprinted in my mind and will be forever. The one of Bailey being carried out and right after I went to my living room to see what they were talking about on television and the first thing I saw was a woman in a red shirt sitting on the curb holding her head because it was bleeding and the look of astonishment on her face was something I can't let go of. It's there and always will be. So now, as I work on these I remember all the news coverage and all the people that went through that. My sister is a nurse and she was flown out for a day to help but they didn't see much and she was thankful. She said what she did see was enough. Just the look of the building right after is an impression that lasts.
Thank you for sharing your experience with me during this. If there is anything I am leaving out or would like to add please do so.
I am going to post the statue of "and Jesus Wept", there is an inscription about it on a wall there. If you know it will you please add to it after I post it? I really would like for people to understand it better.
Thank you again, Rona J.

Rona glad to meet a fellow Oklahoman, It took 5 + weeks to design Edyes Angels and I relived the bombing every moment during the design phase, and it was very hard to deal with mentally. I would do it all over again just to remember the kids who died in the daycare. I consider it a real privilage to have been asked to do the book.

Isn't it strange how God works in mysterious ways? It makes you thank God for not being there but yet greive for those who were. Its a torn emotion that I am sure is hard to understand sometimes. There is always that question, Why?
That is a great tribute. I say post it on the anniversary coming up. That is if you havn't yet. I wish I had waited but Im glad I didn't. It all works out.
Thank you again, Rona

Rona thanks for the pictures of the memoral, I didn't realize you lived in Oklahoma... I live in Midwest City which is 10 minutes from the memorial and I was going to the downtown library and had my plans changed or I would have been at the library at 9:00 am that morning. The library is 1 block south of where the murrah building stood... Enclosed is a tribute picture I did for those who died... Ron

Well thank you Audra. Doing these photos was a bit emotional for me. Not that I was there or anything, but I will never forget images I saw on television that morning when it happened. And the effect it had on us in Oklahoma, let alone out of Oklahoma. So close to home. Some things just have a tendency to stick with us and I just wanted to share photos of the site and some knowledge on it. I hope everyone likes it.
Thank you again, Rona

Thank you for the comment on this image. I am going to post several from the site, just for history purposes and to let people know about it. It is hard to believe that it has been 10 years ago, does not seem that long ago.
If anyone has the chance to see the Memorial do so. It is something, Just the feel to it. It is like the spirits of those lost are still with us and watching over everyone there. Very serene and still. Brings up a lot of emotions just standing in the peacefulness of it all.
Thanks again. Keep watching for more to come.
Rona

Wow, thanks for sharing the pictures and the word, Rona. With so much having happened since the 10 years gone by, I am sure most people will not have this top of mind. Your pictures are great and the collage has great effect.
