Absolutley stunning - with so much in focus.
I would love to be able to capture so much detail myself.

I've just got the ring flash speedlight - and the metering doesn't work with a D70 :( So make sure the one you want does - before you spend your savings!

Superb macro, the detail and clarity of the shot are quite amazing! You have got so close it looks like it's armour plated. Getting in so close has also created that wonderful green background without any distractions. Great work.

Thanks.

Hi Monteray - For this shot I used available light - the afternoon sun. Otherwise I use my camera's built-in flash for fill in. I am still saving for my Nikon speedlight! Thanks for the comment on my photo - appreciated.

What do you use for your flash? I have only my built-in and side with a flashlight. You DOF is really great it adds the beauty my shots lack.
