Jim, I'm dribbling down the sides of my chin. Not only do you see an owl, not only do you photograpk an owl - you get one in flight and in such a magnificent way. One tremendous shot Jim. Gotta fav this!!

Thank you for your kind comments on my photos today. This weekend was my first full weekend out with my new camera and lens. Wow I am stating to really love it , now that I am getting used to how to set it up ;-) Its a bit different than the D70 which still travels with me for landscapes etc.
Now to the real reason for writing, how is my friend Denny doing ? haven't heard from him and recall he was having some difficulty ??

got the flowers !! Warmed me right up. As far as getting good with the new lens, an old Navy buddie of mine once told me when I was getting out of line, "Jimmy, even a blind hog finds an acorn once in awhile" I adopted that as my personal mantra !!

Jim, what a beautiful composition. First, you are using the same equipments that I used in my latest posting except the brand Sigma/Canon. Secondly, capturing a fast object using such a heavy lens means that we are talking about a professional photographer and it shows.
