I think this image in BW with the soft tones and lighting is excellent. The skin textures are pulled out more and it really works well. nice job here.

I know that picture very much ;-)
I haven't got the original one at hand, but the BW look gives the image a more historic look. which fits probably better to the aged skin than the color one.
