Thanks for all the comments. For all of you who dont know what Henna is, Henna is a plant which is mixed with Tea leaves and ground with some oils and water and turned into a very thin paste. This paste is then used to paint hands and feet of women during times of celebration in the indian culture. Once you wash the paste off, the pattern / design / art stays on the hands and feet for as long as 15 days. and YES IT IS TEMPORARY ! :)

It took me until today to open this one up as well. I'm like Maggie I wasn't for sure I wanted to see what this was all about in the thumbnails..Then I said Ok go ahead to myself..What a work of art. The people in the tatoo parlors would be quite impressed!

If I am guessing right the dress is part of the culture as well as the tatooing. I would lay a similar material over the table using it as a full frame background, and show the bracelets, as, in this case, I think they would add to the picture. Get the gold of the bracelets to sparkle and get a lot of light on the red material. Perhaps put a light skimming across the top of the material and a second soft light above to barely made a shadow on the material from her hands. Unless there is a significance to having her hands together, I would separate them just slightly.
Just something to think about.

Hi Ken...welcome to Usefilm *smile*...was almost afraid to open this image when I seen the thumb. I thought for a minute it was blood on this womans hands. But now I see her hands are painted or tatooed...maybe you could tell us which.
Here again I see a slight green cast on the womans arms. I find the background distracting because it isnt continuous and I find my eyes wandering to it trying to figure out what it is rather than staying with the subject. Also you need better lighting here to separate the hands of the model from the background.
There is a live learning sessions on Sunday and Thursday evenings if you would like to attend...go to the Community section and click on Artie Live for details.
Welcome to usefilm.....*smile*...Maggie
