IR really makes your clouds jump out while the rest appears almost B&W. Very nice image ! Grand ! jimc

John, this was shot in Nightshot mode with my Hoya R72 filter -- the method I used for all my digial IR photos. It's funny...I also wondered why the trees did not come out white like they usually do. :-) I attributed the darker trees to the fact that the trees were in the shade in low evening back-light during the winter. Had the sun been shining on the trees, I think they would have come out whiter. I had a few other IR shots taken within a few minutes of this one with the same darker trees. I've attached another one taken just down the road, in low evening light.

I did not have Infra-red with me on any of my trips up there. Now I have to make another trip! I have been doing IR in Death Valley but this image of yours is great! The trees seem very dark in the foreground. Are you certain this is IR? Excellent image in any case. - JB

Amazing scenery and sky! The silhoutte forest in front really tops it off. Great shot! Maybe a little cut down would bring out the mountains and forest even more? Kind regards, Niclas
