Thank you so much Gervais, there are more white sands pictures in my PF. They were taken just after the first of January of 2005 so you won't have to go very far back in the Pf. Thanks again for your most welcome comments. Don.

I notice with pleasure that you were not afraid of making use of strong shadows. Have hiked in many interesting wilderness places around the world, from the Australian red desert to Svalbard in Norway, but haven't come across anything like those white sand dunes. Don't hold back if you've got more shots...

No I'm not :-) I have enjoyed your series, even though I haven't commented on all of them. What is very beautiful about this one is what seems like a thin layer of cloud on top of the dune.

Very nice soft light on an otherwise harsh landscape. It's an excellent shot, love the very soft blue sky and hint of clouds. Shadow angles really complete the composition...-mm
