For the beneficiary...
Indeed it was Russia... and in some ways fear... for the exhausitive trip it will be... but then actually look forward that I just may have to visit that part of Ukraine this spring.
Many wishes for the day... enjoy yourself... where ever you are!

Oh, you are amazing guy, InTransit, I even didn't expect so wonderful greeting in my birthday. Thank you very much...and thanks for a good words about my lovely Odessa. It's a really unique and special city in Russia (it was Russia that time), "city of poets and artists". Somebody named Odessa - "small Paris" and it's really beautiful city. Thanks again, Lena

For the viewers' simple curiosity... herewith is the original panel in colour...
Jules-Huges Roussean had daughters and sons who were artistes at the Chateaux de Versailles, Bellvue, Saint-Cloud, Chambord, Choisy,Compiegne, Fontainbleau, marly et Mendon. Also for many private homes outside of the French Royalty. This is one of 5 panels, painted in1781 for the Chateau de Versailles. The room in which these were placed was dismantled and conserved in the Musee des Arts Decoratifs, in Paris. They were subsequently sold by private auction to Maurice Secoura, who offered them for sale in his shop on Place Francois 1st. and they were sold and reamin in private hands, today. It may be considered, that eventually all five panels, will once again be shown to the public, in some yet to be named Musee.
