About I was quite fascinated with this scene. If you look at it, there are many opposites. The harsh vision of technology against the softness of nature. The dry churned ground against the soft billowing clouds. The straight lines of the power lines against the circular swirls around the base. The train lines against the sandy road and even though you can't see it, the bitumen road on the other side of the train lines. And yet they are all in together and one wouldn't normally stop and look at just what this scene has to offer.

And for that, this one is for you Ferdinand. You like looking past the obvious and seeing what is truly behind an image.

Hi Judi - I have been looking at this image repeatedly - I am of course *flattered* by your dedication. And you are right about the contrasts and contradictions. Perhaps many would say this is a photo of telegraph poles. I think it is mainly of soft clouds.

Thanks Den. I liked the BW effect it gave to the image.

Such a powerful image Judi, really brought about by the B/W rendering. Nice one.

You know what Alastair. I sat there looking at the image for about 10 minutes with this feeling that I had missed one and I couldn't for the life of me remember what it was. And you have found it. So thankyou so much, you have put me at ease.

You missed one Judi, tension and tranquillity - tension in the wires (literally) but an air of tranquillity in the big fluffy summery clouds.Lovely high contrast image!

What I like about this is the lines leading the eyes right through the scene. Also works well in black and white. I would like this taken from about 6" from the floor. The perspective would be amazing :)

What you done your composition in b/w colors is so nice. Wires are good perspective lines.

Thankyou Dave. On the left hand side of this image you can see bushes. This is actually a bush maze where you enter and have a lot of fun trying to find your way out. When I exited the maze I saw this scene and just had to photograph it.

Nice dramatic sky to set it all off, Judi! I like the power pole going straight up the middle, it really works here.

La prospettiva e la composizione, unitamente al cielo, costituiscono uno spettacolo.
Ottimo il bw, molto ben contrastato.
Ciao cara.

Thanks so much Mark. I purposely kept it darker than normal as I wanted to emphasize the areas within it.

Thankyou very much Francesco. It had good colour but all the angles seem blended unless it was in BW.
