Hehehe...well actually you were pretty close. I was with another photographer and whilst he insisted on using the tripod, I refused. Instead using a polarizer I put the camera on the ground and photographed that way. We were standing on a very low footbridge level with the water and the water was running through a pipe under the bridge and out behind us. So that way the camera stayed dry and I got this low perspective.

This is one of my favourite of yours at this moment. It is the lower viewpoint that I have not seen explored by others that intrigues me, as if you were in the water giving us a frogs eye view of the world.

Judi, you just keep putting them out. The colours of the rocks and the texture of the water are fabulous. It pops right out at the viewer. Another beauty.

Beautiful, Judi. Much more subdued than your sky shots, but has a gentle peaceful feel to it. A place to escape to. Winderful. Cheers, Ann.

Beautiful little slice of this little stream. Just the right SP to give it a very soothing feel. Funny how that little leaf at the bottom adds a lot.

have you ever used a thompson/johnson/hickson...a h whatever the name but it is a slide that fits into a holder on the front of your lens. when you expose your "film" especially for shots like this you slide the little cartridge down through the holder... in the cartridge there are several different colored filters... the theory being that when you ahve a long exposure the only thing that will except the colors from the filters is that which is moving, namely the water, so what you end up with is multitoned rushing water.. its very cool.. allthough is uppose you could get the same effect in PS.... anyway you can actually make them on your own, they dont have to be technical or anything and i dont think you can buy them froma camera shop... but anyway i'll find the name and let you know... if you dont know already...

oh oh.. before i forget i LOVe the image!! :)

Sorry about that Giorgio.

Great water shot Judi - the exposure has been perfectly judged to get the water to blur to perfection - it almost looks like Ice!

Lovely shot. My efforts at this kind of effect are always labor-intensive--trying to balance the surrondings and the water effect. This photo is an especially fine example I only wish you had included exposure information . . .
