Hi Naty, This was in October/November 2003. If my memory serves the photograph was taken from the balcony of the Basicila di San Marco, in the late afternoon.
The time I was there we had to walk around on planks to avoid getting our feet wet. A very lovely place ... one of the most photographed in the world. But this is a point of view we don't often see.
