Yes, I went down to 350 by 200 or so pixels, and around 50k in size, and it still gave me an error message. I'll try again later.

Licia, did you make sure to size it down to 500 pixels in width? If you don't then it wont work!

All rightie... I've tried, but am not 100% happy with the result. The main problem was that whenever I got beyond the chin, there was the pesky curve of the jaw to distract the eye in the bottom left corner. I ended up cheating with the Clone Stamp Tool to take out the last tip. For some reason this doesn't seem to be working, though... I get an error message every time.

Thank you for your comment, Licia!

If you don't mind, would you show me your thoughts on cropping it? On this shot I had cut the top of his head off, I didn't actually crop it that way. I did take some off the left and the bottom because I felt that his ear and his shirt distracted from his face.

The center of attention for me is in the eyes and lips. For some reason it "feels" stronger if you crop below the lips and just above the chin, losing the black spot on the bottom left, the shadow below the chin and the reflection on the cheek. Don't ask me to explain why it works for me... I usually can't. ;-) Maybe it's because it's cropped tightly on the top, and it looks like it should also be at the bottom. Nonetheless, the color and shadows here are fantastic.
