this is a somewhat obscure reference

She sat on this very bench.. Today it sits in our "yard" - garden to you Brits of our house in North Carolina. The memories travelled with it.

It looks as tbough it is in a lovely spot to be able to sit and relax with memories. How nice to have the bench with you, Strange I came on this image, after looking at 'Mum's Corner' and have a little walk down memory lane.

And I thought it was just a bench. My mother is still alive (Bless her soul) and so is my father (the Devil take him)Have you ever thought about doing a photo perspective on the bench? Tying family pics in with it? Your pal,
J

Thank you Jimmy - that was my thought as well- let me find my husband and make sure he reads this- I am sure "bench repair" comes under his job description!
Yes I do miss her!

A very touching tribute to your mother's memory. You did an excellent job of photographing the bench. I think you should have it repaired and keep it for many, many years to come.
Jimmy
