Kyle, as for the dog, trained, God no. He shivers when he sees my camera, but he loves the fireplace. I was looking for the story book cat/dog laying in front of the fire look. I wanted the mood of the picture to be a bit on the dark side as he often lays there in the dark as content as could be. But, our visions sometimes have to be assisted with a little added light due to situations such as Bo's dark coat. The expression, my daughter had just knocked at the door and he didn't budge. The frame is from a program called Digital Image Pro 9 by Microsoft. It is pretty cool.
Nice expression on the dog. You talk about reshooting... is he that well trained to do the same thing? What an amazing dog if so. How did you make the frame? Is there a certain way to make them in photoshop?
Paolo, I have taken your advice. I changed the frame and adjusted the levels on the dog through curves. He is however really black. Thank you for your comments, please feel free to let me know what you think of the corrections I made, although I think they are slight. Maybe I will reshoot and repost soon.
