Sorry Judi, i am not really picky, all what i am trying to be is an extra super eye for you :) Just to point the minor things that sometimes slips out of us, my job is to point them out, your job is to fix it, how .. you are the expert lol .. but i would suggest a dark black color, as a background i am not sure if it will be noticed :)

Jorge....I saw a lot of emotion in her eyes but couldn't decide on one particular mood to base the title on. As you will see by my portfolio this just doesn't happen as the norm.

Arrghh...my keyboard must have had a hard night. That comment should have read....an area added to the left and top and using a shade that was within the area of the image. Grrr...!! One day man will event a keyboard that types from our thoughts...!! Hmmm , now that could be trouble.

It is interesting you say that Larry. She was actually wearing lipstick that did leave a slight shine on her lips but after adding the tones that moistness was reduced.

Well, Mr Ghoul you are certainly picking out the faults. That is good. But I also hope you notice the positive points...! I would expect you to look further into the image to notice the small details. Now in reply to your comment, yes she quite possibly did blink. I used a long shutter speed and although she knew to hold, sometimes the human body takes control over the mind.
I knew you would disapprove of the cropping of the arm. That is unavoidable. For me to get the emotion of the face I needed to weight up the pros and cons of an image. Unfortunately in this case the arm had to go. This image has not been cropped on the computer only a slight bit added to the left to balance it out slightly.
I find it interesting that you have noticed the slight difference in the black shadings. I actually used a shade of black from the image to make the border. Maybe you could suggest a different version. I would interested to know your thoughts. Perplexion.

So you are working on the portraits right now, this is really tricky with a digicam and slow shutter, i am not sure if you noticed that or not, but it seems she blinked, the eyes are not clear due to the movement of the em when she blinked, another thing, i don't like the cropping of her right arm, and the last thing is having her black picture inside a black background, i can notice the diffrence in colors, these are what prevent this portrait from being perfect to me :) Keep up, Regards,

So this is Shella, or Shelle as someone wrote. Quite an expression you captured on her face, dear Judi. Onced more the lighting makes the photo and at the risk of repeating myself, I'll mention Rembradt once more.
Thank you for your lovely comments on my three recent photos. All's well that ends well and today we already ordered a new car, once more a Peugeot, a somewhat more advanced model in dark blue (the only color available for this model).
Whoever, or whatever set the fire to the house next door to the garage is to blame.
