About I liked the far away look in her eyes.

I thought I would do one of the images in BW seeing as so many people suggested it on her last image.

No, she is a Taurean....and as stubborn as a bull...LOL!! I figured getting her an SLR will last her many years, that is why I chose that camera.

is she an aries? same as me. I think digital photography is the best for kids to learn. I noticed my 3,5 year old son already loved to play with a camera. I thought about getting him an older used one just to play around. He really wants to do the same as I do.

Biliana I really liked what you have done. I had contemplated the idea of cropping in, but I liked the smooth flow of the image with the leg in it.

I guess in Australia we can sometimes be a little laid back when it comes to images like these. But I can also see how it would come across indifferently in other parts of the world. That is a learning curve for me. So thankyou for your guidance in that area.

Beautiful portrait, Judi. Kita seems to be very good at posing for the camera while appearing to be completely unaware of its presence. The b/w is ideal for this one. Kurt

Yes a great choice for B&W Judi! I am more of favor of B&W when the portrait holds such great expressions & pose. The colors are fit when there is an absent of dramatic expression and a present of more colors that distract more from the drama and pose. Cheers my dear friend and 7 for this lovely portrait.

I like very much what you have done here dear Judi, with the lighting and the B&W and her natural pose!
But as I dont like to see any of the Infant part of body, cause I think it is not so appropriate to expose children, strictly in my personal opinion, I just crop this beautiful child face!
what do you think?
Kiss, Biliana

Patrick Jacobson   {K:29151} 11/30/2004
I guess thats a must.. =) In the summer here the weather can be very hot.. which is abit strange since we live so far up north.. but its the golfstream that the warm weather comes from.. it can be up to 30-40c hot under the summer.. Most of the swedes doesnt have ac?s in their houses though.. hehe.. so the summer can be a pain.

Cheers

Yes my friend, it is hot. We have all the fans going and within a couple of weeks will no doubt have all the air conditioners running. Luckily we got every room air conditioned last year.

Patrick, I will let you in on a little secret. I have problems keeping clothes on this girl. She has no shame. In this particular image she isn't naked. She is actually semiclothes but the image has been taken in a way that you don't realise that.

I really like her expression and the light is also interesting and nice... her nudeness bothers me a little bit though.. but then again her mother took this shot. =) Keep on experimenting! =)

Cheers

Larry, I had the camera set on Manual with an Aperture of 2.5, shutter 1/3, ISO 100 and I dropped the exposure setting to -2. It darkens everything slightly with a low noise response, long shutter to draw in the light availabe as I don't use a flash for these shots and the aperture of 2.5 to give it softness. I was only a couple of feet from her to reduce the risk of noise by the camera working overtime in those conditions.

I love the way you control the lighting, and direct it where you want, that's cool. What do you mean aperature 2.5 and exp -2. Assume your shutter was 1/3 of a sec?? Right?

Very lovely model you have the pleasure of working with too, your Kita.......

Cheers,

Larry

Very nice portrait, I like it very much. Some people might not like the fact that the girl is nude, even thoug you cant se anything.
Resently I uploaded a phot of my little girl, laying on her back, shirtless, here in Denmark the comments on that picture were not nice. I think the photo is on UseFilm to...

Thanks Larry. I had considered darkening the corner but felt it would take away some of the detail and natural effect that seemed to shine in this image. I would, however, normally darken odd spots like those, so thankyou for your suggestion.
