Really excellent, Kim! This one definitely resolves whatever 'problems' the previous version may have had! The desaturation and 'hand colored' look are really effective here, and the soft glow works even better with the B&W. The eyes do stand out maybe a little too much, although for me it's not so much the color as the darkness of her pupils - lighten those a little and for me this is a prize-winner!

I was hoping to get more of a hand-painted look here, but perhaps I just need to tone the eyes down a bit more so they don't stand out quite so much... a faded blue jean colour maybe...

I'm with Sue Shields on the eyes actually. One way to lessen the "surprise" impact of partial saturation control is to not let the saturation go quite all the way to zero anywhere. The exception would be when you want to emulate hand-painted b/w photos and since that may be your intent here I shall stop now...

Thanks for taking a look Stefan... I know that the film wasn't the best choice, but I had run out of my Reala & NPH at that point, so I was using the film that just sits in the camera bag waiting for a rainy day. Thanks!

This has a nice hand-colored look to it. Odd film to bring to this workshop maybe? If it was underexposed I don't see much evidence of it. Good cover-up I suppose :-) I bet Krista is pleased.

Thanks Mary-Sue for your comments on both these last portraits... I like the looser framing of this better as well, although I am looking forward to seeing the next roll as well.

The eyes are a just a touch too much for me, but overall this is such masterful work! Nicely done!
I'm with MS: like the framing much better.

I like the framing of this one much more!
Kim, I am SO impressed with the results of your workshop.
The desaturation + slight color works for me. I like how her jewels seem to glow.
Can't wait for your next roll to be developed.
