thanks dear Aira but i am afraid the end result is lacking mid tones because i didn?t fix properly the film and has started to wear off... really gave me a hard time trying to print it so i used filter no5 to achieve maximum contrast but finally i made it... glad you liked it... regards... emy :)

love its softness and almost total lack of mid tones: the result is fascinating and very intriguing.

...out of the dark and into the light...Neil Young, as far as I remember... Mysterious, nice flow from black to white, great expression. Love it. Your scanner softening filter works great here. BRAVO! C.

It seems everybody is picking up something interesting from this one. I like the symbolism of transitioning from absolute black to pure white. We know nothing about her state of mind, but I get the impression that whatever it is, it is intense.

It does seem to relate to the transition someone goes through whatever it is in life, the feeling of being born again, starting anew. It is as if she is being bathed by the light, shown a new way to live her life, and she appears not to be putting up a struggle. Very interesting stuff~

I wish I'd shot my little sister too when I had the chance....
There is an interesting balance and segregation of the almost equal quantities of dark and light here....as if I'm seeing the Manichaean duality of absolute good countered by absolute evil......something I can easily associate, from personal experience, with having a little sister.
Emily, don't tell your sister I said any of this:))))) I like the picture!!!!
