This is a spectacular shot Jim. I appreciate your input and advice. You obviously have gifted vision combined with good fortune and mechanical ability. Your portfolio is very impressive indeed.

Wonderful composition - I love the shape of the sky as created by the two rock formations. I disagree with Kevin about the sun - I like it!

Quite and image, Jim. Excellent positioning of the sun on the edge of the canyon and the colours are superb.

Really love how you used the cliffs as your frame and the reddish color really makes those trees stand out. Also the lighting really has a good effect of the cliff as you get some great details out of them. I would say, maybe next time to move over a little bit to try and hide the sun behind the cliff as it's distracting and washes out part of the sky. Keep up the great work.

Really nice shot, great colours. Some time I must go to Utah, there seems to be alot of great photo opportunities there! Thanks for your comments!

Very nice - I am surprised to see that there is so much light on the cliff on the right.

Excellent Jim, perfect placement of the sun for the subtle lens flare. Color saturation (esp. the sky) and exposure levels are right on, this is the kind of image that makes me want to go the midwest for my trip!
