I like the wood detail and the perspective as well--it makes me feel as if I was standing there with you when you took the shot. I've never actually seen a covered bridge before, they look quite interesting. :)

I like your version very much, Larry. I confess that mine was very burned out at the far end. No color like you have. Nicely done! Larry

Thanks for your comment Den. It was the timber construction of this bridge that interested me too. This is the Roseman bridge near Winterset, Iowa (one of the bridges of Madison County) which is about 200 miles West of Dyersville. Mark Kresl has a picture of this bridge at http://www.usefilm.com/photographer/62188.html. I've only had the D70 for about 4 months but I am very pleased with it. It's capabilities are greater than mine at this point. Learning how to handle all the features is a challenge. Best regards, Larry

Being in timber engineering as a job Larry I love to see these bridges. They intrigue me. I have been to Dyersville, Iowa. Is this anywhere near there. How do you like your D70. The 18-70mm lens has done a great job with DOF in this shot and the exposure is good too. Thanks for your "comforting" comment. Den

I like this one, Larry. I keep looking for the light at the end of the tunnel, but not this time.

Good perspective, Larry! That tunnel looks like a real labyrinth of wood crossmembers, but I can see the light at the end. Dave.
