Great use of DOF to portray a highly reflective surface. The sky in the bubbler's chrome adds dimension. Fantastic!

Very nice shot. I love the reflected sky in the metal; the clarity contrasts very nicely with the mottled background.
Thanks for your comment.

Don - thanks for all your comments and critiques - I've cropped this shot and reframed it just for something different - I do like it better cropped smaller as you suggested -- Debby

Hi Debby, thanks so much for adding me to your friends list. Looking at your PF it is very impressive. You have a great eye for pictures. I hope you don't mind my critic of your pictures when I view them, sometimes I have to tell it as I see it. Don't take offense as I do hope that it will be constructive. I have learned that some of the small things will make a picture so much better and usually it takes very little time. Enough of this. Lets take a look at this picture. A great subject that we all see but you have captured it in an unique way. The telephoto isolates the subject very well. In looking at this the hot spots in the upper portion are competing with the subject. I would either darken them or crop them out. Cropping will give the picture a different perspective and darkening will leave it with the effect that you have now. You have a very nice border to compliment the picture. Thanks Debbie for your comments. Don.

Debby your portfolio on which I have had a flight just now has very striking similarities with the mine; same taste for objects, for particulars and perspective...very very nice as the present DOF-mastered shot

I hadn't thought about it but I sure am thirsty now after looking at this. It's funny. Things are called different names in different parts of the country. I hadn't run across the word "bubbler" since my childhood.

Debby this is a 'cool' shot (no pun intended...).

I really like the reflection of the sky on the back of the bubbler (that's what that things called-lol). Good composition and framing. You have pretty good bokeh on this as well...

Nice one,

Anthony
