very good portrait. The light and colors are so good. His pose and expression, framing. Great work. A little less DOF would be nice, but I know that this is very difficult to get with compact digital cameras.

Now there's a kid with attitude. What a cutie. I would have tried for a quicker fstop, or smaller appature so that his face wasn't so bright, but the capture is brilliant. Nice job. Dottie

Nicely captured karen ....This is a nice male pose.. Very good job. Since you want to learn... next time .. crop it just above the pant cuff. and bring the hand back some..away from the lens. Great composition and background. Good going karen.
