Hi Thilo,cleverer Titel und Foto..mir gefällt der infrarot Effekt(ich bekomme vielleicht auch einen Infrarot Filter,habe aber keinen blassen Schimmer
davon).Ich war ein paar Tage weg...was ist denn passiert?

I made several pictures here, one that exactly fits your idea. I rejected the idea of uploading it as it places the sphinx out of the scary environment... will probably come back to that image later. different one =)

To be honest, a smaller DOF would work better for me. I know that's against the physic of that lens, but if you go closer and focus on the beast with a bigger apeture you should be able to handle that.

also nach diesem crash werde ich alles 10x sichern, und zwar jeden tag ;-) ich hoffe immer noch, dass das festplattenlabor soviel wie möglich retten kann.

Aye.. its alot of money! You better get yourself a backup hd or another media to store the pictures on. I will buy a external hd to keep as back up hd infact.. Dont want that to happend to me. Ive done a few backups but it isnt enough as you dont have time to burn new cds/dvds every day or so.

thanks a lot for the hint. My HDD is already on it's way to such a lab as it's my external drive where I work on (and had some pictures as well). will cost about 3.000 bucks (ARGH). but it's well worth the cost.

Missed the part about your harddrive.. Thats terrible.. You can repair it though.. well not you but you send it to a lab. We have such labs here in Sweden so they should be everywhere... They open up the disc and transfers the data to a new media.. dont know how it works.. but it does!
I worked as a Apple computer consult.. we sent away 2 discs i think that crashed.. both got back their data. It was costly though i think. Worth to check out though!

oh sh..., das tut mir so leid, erinnert mich daran das ich dringend mal wieder ein backup auf meine externe Festplatte ziehen muß...
bin nur froh das die Sphinx außer einem langen Leben, dem langen Weg nach Karlsruhe auch diesen Crash überlebt hat ;)
toll in den Kontrasten zwischen hellen und dunklen Metallkonstrukten, starker Himmel (wie immer) die Sphinx ist das Tüpfelchen auf dem I.

Maybe the Sphinx wanted to have some quiet moment by herself... :)
Sorry to hear about your hard disk... I always try to have copy of my pictures in two or three disks... :( Hope you can retrieve more of your pictures...
