Hi Mel, it's a very nice collage with beautiful roses. I second the above advice to leave at least some space around the edges. Or you could have filled the background with the same color (as shown below)
Congrats on your first collage and I'll bet we will see many more of them in the future.

You can also resize each image in the collage so that there is none on the background.
