We do take a lot of the same shots :) I am a sucker for driftwood and twisty trees.
Personally I find the horizon distracting. I would level it.

haha... I saw the picture and was like "ahhh, Oregon" for a moment, and then read "...windy...racoons...rained all night but well worth the cold"....
And was like "ahhh, Oregon"
This is a very crisp shot, especially considering the (I assume) low light conditions and low ISO.

Phillip, this is a wonderful image. I'm always fascinated by the unique shapes of driftwood. That piece looks pretty big. Nice composition.
