Location City -  Loveland Pass, stepping ontop the Ridge
State -  COLORADO
Country - United States   United States
About while hiking up in almost darkness the sun just begins to peak out over the extreme cloud cover that is sitting in the valley, i take a deep breath and push on, just step up on the top of the ridge and am greated by this amazing light casting down on the valley about 40 miles away from me.... the light has about 40 more minutes till it illuminates the valley im in this way. but by then the light will have changed color and became dull yellow... glad i walked up over the ridge when i did, not ten minutes later and this was gone, overtaken by the storm and the ever changing magical light...

let me know opinions, im always looking to make my work better,

i notice on the right hand peak that a slide might be happening mid way down, the snow looks like a mass moved and a avalance is happening as im shooting

beautiful color and texture in the sky; that's some great light you captured, and it sounds like a great hike too.

Wow..superb. I love the colours against the contrast of the snow. Beautiful capture. I could sit and watch this for hours.

Incredible drama!
I like the exposure zones the way you've got 'em, Phillip.
