Hi Ryan, this is the same image but with the levels boosted up somewhat. I have also tried to enhance the area around M31 and it is just possible to see a fuzzy elipse. The 300d seems to be gaining a lot of popularity amongst astro imagers. There is an outfit that advertises in S&T the 300d with the IR filter removed specifically for astro imaging.
