Well good result of taking the pain sitting in the water. The three rocks definitely enhance this beautiful shot. Wonderful color composition! Best regards Jorg

Stefan -- The lake really is this colour... even more so when the sun is hitting it directly. One of the magical pulls of Eagle Lake, very tropical water! (except for when you're sitting in it, as it is glacier fed!) --Dirck - Thanks so much for the comment! I will have to try to burn the top left corner a little more to tone it down... I'm just too impatient when it comes to uploading! --Jennifer - Eagle Lake is west of Williams Lake by about 2 hours... kinda in between Williams Lake and Bella Coola. It's a very interesting part of BC as the landscape is very diverse. Although that part of the world is burning up right now in wildfires, but if you get a chance go visit! It's beautiful!
Thanks also to Dave, Mary Sue and Legolas for your comments! And no, Mary Sue, it was just me and the tripod hanging out in the freezing water without a boat! *bbrrrrrrr*

Classic and beautiful. Wonderful hues but is the lake really faithfull represented? Looks *very* turquoise to me. I have seen lakes with this color before but never at your latitude...

OK - I'm running out of superlatives when talking about your images! This is an amazing shot, and there's so many wonderful things going on - all in a single image! The sun rays coming through the clouds are breathtaking and the color contrast between the sky and water is just great - either of these would have carried the photo, but then you went and threw in the three white rocks and put it right over the top! Maybe you could tone down the piece of sky at left just a little? (had to find something - I was embarrasing myself! :) Outstanding photograph - into the faves!

I also thought those were icebergs!!
Kim, your patience really paid off. Those rays of light are the magic touch that pull the sky and water together. You are quite plucky to sit in the water. I hope you were in a boat, lol!
Great job, Kim. Hope to see more!

Wonderful exposure, interesting scenic ideas. I actually thought the white rocks were icebergs until I read your caption. Sitting in the water, now that is dedication.
